Elderly in the News

COVID-19 has impacted all of our daily lives, though it has affected the elderly in particular, as older adults are most susceptible to the virus. Fortunately, the elderly are now much better protected against the virus, thanks to vaccinations, as hospitalizations and deaths among the elderly are declining. Cases and vaccinations in many places, including Michigan, Philadelphia, and New Jersey, are trending towards younger adults, showing that vaccinations have been effective in protecting older Americans. As vaccinations open to younger people, hopefully a similar trend of declining hospitalizations and deaths will emerge in all of the population.
