Vaccines have been sent out to various nursing homes across the country. However, the vaccination process has been slow, with only about 17% of the distributed doses used so far. The inadequacy of the vaccination distribution process is in part due to the burden left on state governments and large pharmacy chains to carry out the vaccinations. As vaccine distribution contains, the process will hopefully become more smooth and streamlined to efficiently send vaccines to those most heavily affected by the pandemic.
