Our Emotional Embrace Kit

PREFACE

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well! In this article, I wanted to announce and explain Elderly Embrace Care Network's newest initiative: the Emotional Embrace Kit. This kit was compiles mental health resources in an accessible way for seniors around the world. We hope to promote emotional hygiene in our elderly through this kit, and here is the link. The kit also contains mindfulness activities, sources for more information on mental health, and ways you can contact us with any questions or comments. To reach out to us, you can email us at info.elderlyembrace@gmail.com, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. In this article, I will be going over each of our four sections in the kit to explain how it works.

RESOURCES

We usually do not announce all of our initiatives in blog posts, but I wanted to share this to make sure that all seniors worldwide who need mental health resources know about and can access our Emotional Embrace Kit. There are resources by the American Psychological Association on stress and anxiety, websites specifically for veterans, an article detailing elderly in disaster relief, as well as links to the Suicide Prevention Lifeline and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness is really taking the time to reflect on you and your surroundings, finding a balance in life and becoming more peaceful. Our kit has suggestions for simple activities you could do to become more mindful, such as doing breathing exercises, listening to calming music, trying out yoga for older adults, taking relaxing walks, and more. Song playlists (like our Nostalgic Nod playlist, which we have compiled specifically for our elderly) as well as YouTube videos are directly embedded in our kit.

INFORMATION

In our section with resources for more information, there are direct links to sites that explain in more detail the mental health issues that elderly face. In particular, the National Institute of Mental Health, World Health Organization, and WedMD all have articles that are linked to this section in our kit.

CONTACT

Our kit outlines three ways you can contact us: filling out a form, clicking the email icon, or writing out an email to info.elderlyembrace@gmail.com. We would love to hear from you, so definitely feel free to reach out!

THANK YOU FOR READING

I hope you enjoyed this article and that you will check out the Emotional Embrace Kit. I really wish it will be a helpful resource for seniors!
